It is always a joy when we have a new addition to our family. It shows that most yearned for signs of growth, hope for the future, and the present filled with new blood and new ideas.
On May 20th, 2023 Mother Carla graced the entrance into the pre-novitiate stage of Patience Mambanje, Fatima Chakwizira, and Yvonne Mongola. The occasion took place in Harare with the attendance of both OLS communities from Chegutu and Mhondoro. At the end of the prayer, Mother Carla reminded the pre-novices that the formation program is a process and a journey through which they will learn about our life, spirituality, and charism…. She (Mother Carla) talked about two important things for the pre-novices to keep in mind; i.e. the call and the desire to belong to a religious family and the choice to join the religious family. She said that “the call and the desire to belong to a religious family comes before and then the choice of a religious family – you could have chosen any other but you chose us”. She also said that each and every one of us is another Elisabetta carrying out the mission and bringing the charism to the people. She gave them a warm welcome from her and the General Council.
